Good Morning and Portville Panthers!

TODAY is Thursday, April 27th, 2023                                                              It is an “ F “  Day

 News from our “Music World” !?!...... We would like wish a big Congratulations to all of the singers who performed last night in the vocal recital! 

 

Attention Seniors- If you are interested in being an Ecology Camp Counselor, applications are available in the high school office.  The completed application is due back to Mrs. Baker by May 5th.    

 

There will be an International Club Meeting on Tuesday, May 2nd in the HS library during period X.

 

Gamer’s Club will be gathering TOMORROW from 2:45 to 5:45 in the High School library.  For more information stop by the Technology Office, Room 210.

 

Reminder to Juniors & Seniors:  Prom tickets are on sale.  The price is $50 per ticket.  Stop in to see Mrs. Pascucci or get your tickets during lunch at the cafeteria. 

 

Attention all students, in grades 7-12:  In honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day, PCS, in conjunction with the Eldred WWII Museum, is privileged to schedule a visit to the museum.  The trip will be held, this Sunday, April 30th from 1-3:30pm.  Sign up with Ms. Judy Maxson, Room #202, or send her a message in TEAMS. 

 

Attention students who are interested in the Film Festival. Please meet in Mr. Mitchell's room today during period X. 

 

Reminder that Portville will be taking students to a Buffalo Bison’s game on Friday, June 2nd.  You can enjoy some food, Baseball, and fireworks. Please sign up outside of Mrs Morella’s room, 201, by May 19th and return the permission slip as soon as possible.

 

And now for your PCS Spring Sports News:

 

Last night the JV baseball team improved to 3-0 with a 10-7 win over Gowanda. Leading the way on the mound for the Panthers was Ty Kosinski with 9 strikeouts and Brady German with the save. Colin German had a three run double in the top of the 7th inning to help secure the victory.

The Lady Panthers improved to 5 and 1 tonight defeating Catt-LV in league action. Alisha Dickerson went the first 6 innings on the rubber tossing 9 strikeouts, ZERO walks, and allowing 3 hits. Bella Morales came in to close in the bottom of the seventh tossing a strikeout, 1 walk, and one hit for PCS. Mattison Foster earned “Golden Glove” for her solid play behind the dish including an impressive thrown down to snipe a base runner out at third. “Queen of the Plate” went to Kelsey Bradford who went 2 for 4 with 2 singles, and 2 runs. Mattison Foster chipped in going 3 for 5 with 3 singles, 1 run, and 4 RBI’s, while Peytom Young added a triple, a single, 2 runs, and 1 RBI. Portville next hosts the Cuba-Rushford Rebels today in the first round of the 2nd Annual Don Jordan Memorial Tournament. Game time is 4:30pm. GO PANTHERS!!
