Reminder to SENIOR BOCES Students… Unless you have a pass to stay at BOCES, you will be picked up early on Thursday at 12:50 for the DUI Program and early on Friday at 1:40 for the Pep Rally.

Do you like the outdoors??? Do you like to hike?? Please come and join Mrs. Bantelman and Mrs. VanCuran for a hike and dinner up at Pfeiffer nature center next Wednesday May 17th. We will leave the school at 3:30 and return at 5:30 PM. Please see Mrs. Bantelman for a permission slip and more information.

Reminder that Portville will be taking students to a Buffalo Bison’s game on Friday, June 2nd. You can enjoy some food, Baseball, and fireworks. Please sign up outside of Mrs Morella’s room, 201, by May 19th and return the permission slip as soon as possible.

Any boys in grades 8-11 that are interested in playing Boys Volleyball next Winter season there will be a short interest meeting this Friday May 19th right after school in the lecture hall. If you cannot attend please let Mrs. Colligan know. We need accurate numbers of who will be interested in playing.
Any girls in grades 7-11 that are interested in participating in Football cheer, please sign up by Mrs. Colligan's office.
Congratulations to the JV Lady Panthers softball team on their victory last night over Salamanca. Ella Warters lead the offensive attack knocking in 7 RBIs, while Ayana Degolier had 5 RBIs, Megan Wenke had 4, and Autumn Baker and Ella Ziegler each had 3. Defensively, Ella Ziegler was fantastic behind the plate, Abby Phearsdorf made an incredible diving catch in center and Ayana DeGolier managed to end the game with an unassisted double play. Great job ladies!
Last night the Portville Modified Track Teams were back on the track with a home meet vs Olean and Allegany Limestone. Congratulations to the following top finishers. For the girls Zionea Johnson, Alana Everitt, Ana Haynes, Olivia North, Sophia Milligan, Kaylin Elliott and Peyton Rogers. For the boys, Thomas Mackey and Keegan Williams. Great job team.
The Portville Lady Panthers improved to 13-4 defeating Cattaraugus-Little Valley on Senior Night! The “Golden Glove” went to Alisha Dickerson who picked up the win in the circle tossing 10 strikeouts, 3 walks, and scattering 7 hits. Congrats to “Queen of the Plate” Mattison Foster who went 2-2 with a double, a single, an RBI, and 3 runs. Adding to the offensive attack was Avery DeFazio who went 2-4 with 2 singles, while Sam Steadman chipped in a double, an RBI, and a run, and Teagan Kosinski added a single, an RBI, 2 runs, and 2 stolen bases. Portville Softball would like to thank seniors Alisha Dickerson, Sam Steadman, Kelsey Bradford, Myha Wilson, and Teagan Kosinski, for all of their time, dedication, and contributions to Portville Softball. Each of you have represented PCS with pride and integrity on and off the field and will be sorely missed. Stay tuned for dates, times, matchups of our upcoming playoff games. GO PANTHERS!!
