Now for your PCS Sports News…
The boys varsity soccer defeated Bolivar-Richburg last night 3-1. Riley Horsley was the man of the match scoring our first goal off a cross from Wyatt Evans. Not too long after, Riley beat two defenders and then found Braedon Carter for our second goal. Garrett Reynolds added one later to secure the victory. Goalkeeper Chase Armstrong was solid in net and our back four consisting of Vic Vena, Parker Keim, Luke Edwards, and captain Logan Zeigler dominated the second half allowing us to play in our attacking end for the majority. Come show your support as the boys have home games both tomorrow and Friday at 4:30.
The PCR JV football team took on the Olean Huskies last night in Portville. The Panthers grabbed a dominant win over Olean winning the contest 30-8. The offense was led by Peyton Carter at quarterback who moved the ball with his arm and his legs. Sabre Hearne had a fantastic night receiving, while Darren Spring was the leading rusher for the Panthers scoring 2 touchdowns.
The defense put up a strong performance against the Huskies offense led by Dylan Wenke and the linebacking core, as well as a host of other Panthers making contributions defensively. The JV Panthers will take on Salamanca next Monday at Cuba-Rushford at 5pm.
Last evening the JV girls soccer team travelled to Wellsville where they played a hard fought game but fell short. Honesty Johnson had the lone goal for the team making the final score 2-1.
