Good Morning Portville Panthers!

 TODAY IS…Monday, November 4th, 2024

It is an “ A ” day.

Chorus lessons today are:

Pd 3 Alto A’s

Pd 8 Soprano A’s

Congratulations to all of the musicians who participated in the Junior High Area All-State Music Festival this weekend. You represented Portville with excellence! PCS is proud of you!

There will be a Student Council meeting during Period X this Wednesday, November 6th.  This will take place in the HS Library.

The American Red Cross Blood Drive will take place on Tuesday, November 5th.  The Student Council is sponsoring the event which will be held from 8AM to 2PM in the HS Gymnasium.  If anyone age 16 and older is interested in donating, please see Mrs. Welty or send her a TEAMS Chat with your free periods.  You can also schedule your donation through the Blood Donor App, RedCrossBlood.org, or call 1-800-RED-CROSS.  Last year’s senior class had a bunch of donors so we really need students to step-up and help this worthy cause.  Please consider helping to save lives!!

Now for your PCS Sports News:

Girls Basketball will hold Open Gyms this week on Tuesday, November 5th from 5:30 – 7PM and on Thursday, November 7th from 3 – 4PM for any girls interested.  These will take place in the North Gym.  The seasons actual start date is Monday, November 18th.

There will be an open cheer clinic on Monday, November 4th from 3-5 in the elementary gym for any students in grades 9-12 that are interested in participating in Competitive Cheer this winter.

The Girls Swim Team sent 13 swimmers to the Section VI Class B Swimming Championships last week.  Emmalie Gehm, Samirah Muyhee, and Toni Travis all swam in the finals.

FINALLY….On behalf of the committee members from the Arts, Crafts and Antique Show, Mrs. Baker would like to say a big thank you to all the student and adult volunteers that worked last Friday and Saturday.   You made Portville very proud by your hard work and kindness to our vendors.    The show was a huge success with over sixteen hundred people coming in the school doors to shop.  Again, thank you for helping!
