The Student Council Spirit Week theme for tomorrow is: SANTA’S WORKSHOP DAY –7TH AND 8TH Graders dress like Christmas Trees, Freshmen as Toys and Presents, Sophomores as Reindeer, Juniors as Elves, and Seniors as Santa or Mrs. Claus!
Gamer’s Club will be gathering TOMORROW from 2:45 to 5:45 in the High School library. For more information stop by the Technology Office, Room 210.
This is a heads up for all students in Grades 9th through 12th: Winter Weekend will be held the weekend of January 31st. Crowning will be at halftime of the Boys Varsity basketball game on that Friday and the dance will take place on Saturday, February 1st from 8 – 11PM in the HS Gym.

Portville boys volleyball played Wellsville last night winning 3-0. Abe Cook recorded a double double with 16 kills, 12 digs while Brady German added 16 digs , 9 kills and Parker Dornan 10 digs, 2 aces. Colin German ran the offense with 32 assists. Player of the match Chase Armstrong added 8 kills and 5 aces.
Congratulations to the modified girls basketball on their win against Olean last night. Harlee Weatherley lead the Panthers with 9 points, Brecia Sena scored 8 points, Kylie Maedl had 4 points and Kayla Hendryx and Raelee Mohr each had 2 points. Nice job girls, next game is today at Franklinville.
The Lady Panthers got back in the win column and improved to 4-1 with a victory over Cuba-Rushford last night. Emma Rhinehart had 12 points, 3 steals, and drew a charge to spark the Panthers. Ali Haynes provided a clutch block in the 4th quarter, while recording a double-double with 10 points & 13 boards. Ava Jo Edwards had a career-high 10 rebounds to go with her 6 points. Ashley Carls provided the solid man-to-man defense on the Lady Rebels leading scorer limiting her to 3 points, while Natalie Reynolds was also key in the defense. Natalie Isaman didn’t score but had 3 steals and an amazing block in transition at a crucial time in the 4th quarter. The Lady Panthers travel to Allegany-Limestone tonight for a non-league matchup. Bus leaves at 5PM sharp.
Congratulations to our JV girls basketball team on their undefeated start to their season. They began the year with a win a week ago vs Genesee Valle/Belfast in the Rick Hughes Memorial Tournament in Franklinville. Pacing the panthers in game one was Peyton Rogers, Kaylin Elliott, and Lauren Lyle. Rogers scored 14, Elliott scored 10 and Lyle chipped in 9 points.
In the championship game, the ladies ferocious defense limited the Franklinville Panthers to just 1 field goal and a total of 4 points, earning them the championship. Emily Scanlon led the team with 8 points.
Last night, the ladies started slowly , but turned up the heat on defense and limited the Cuba Rushford Rebels to just 5 points after the 1st quarter in route to a 45-15 victory. Sophia Milligan led the team with 12 points, while Emily Scanlon chipped in 10.
The ladies sit at 3-0 on the season and take on rival Allegany- Limestone tonight. Great job ladies! Keep working hard!
