Reminder that the Student Council will host the Winter Weekend for 9th thru 12th grade the weekend of February 11th. Crowning will be on Friday at halftime of the boys game. The Dance will be on Saturday from 8 – 11pm.
Those students interested in the lifeguard course being offered here at Portville must sign by this Friday, January 14th. Please see Mrs. Colligan to sign up and get more information.
The Olean/A-L/Portville bowling team improved to 30-2. Emma Pinney bowled a 379 series and Kiyah Mohr bowled a 371 series.
The Varsity Lady Panthers had an exciting game on Tuesday night defeating Frewsburg by the score of 49 to 46. The Bears had a tough time stopping Lilly Bentley as she scored 18 in the first half and finished the game with 25. She also contributed 11 rebounds and 4 blocks. Mia Welty went 3 for 5 from 3-point land. Mallory Welty had a solid stat line of 7 points, 7 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals. The Lady Panthers are at home on Friday with a 6:30pm start. Please come out and cheer them on.
The Student Council is holding an emergency blood drive since the supply is critical right now. There are about 25 slots between the hours of 11:30am and 2pm. It is on Wednesday, January 19th in the High School gymnasium. Please come see Mrs Welty to sign up for a time and get a permission slip if you’d like to donate and help save lives.
