Good Morning Portville Panthers!

It is an “ F “  Day

Students and Staff – the PCS Art and Antique committee is holding a Scholarship Fundraiser TOMORROW at the Little League field – there will be a Basket Raffle with many baskets to choose from.  Bring $5 and come out to support our Scholarship fund between 10 am and 2 pm. 

 

Reminder to Drama Club Members… there is a Drama club meeting on Wednesday, May 11th in Room 120.   Please make every effort to attend!

 

Don’t forget to sign up and come to Baking with Mrs. Bantelman and Guest Chef Mrs. Torrey on Wednesday May 18th.  We will be learning how to make cactus and succulent cupcakes.  

The Buffalo Museum of Science Trip is scheduled for Saturday, May 14th.  Please see Mr. Mitchell for more details and to sign up. 

 

Starting Wednesday, May 18th Miss Burdick and Mrs. Maxson will be holding puppetry workshops. If you’d like to participate, please sign up outside Mrs. Maxson’s room 120!

 

The Student Council in conjunction with Connect Life is holding a blood drive on Thursday May 19th in the high school gym. If you donated in March, you are eligible to donate again. Please sign up with Mrs. Welty and help save three lives with your donation.

 

The Portville Lady Panthers Varsoty Softbalm team moved to 11-1 on the season after taking 3rd place in the Bolivar-Richburg tournament. PCS fell to Addison 5-3 in the opening round but bounced back defeating Avoca-Prattsburgh 20-0 in the consolation round. Congratulations to Teagan Kosinski and Mia Welty for being selected to the All-Tournament Team. PCS next travels to Catt-LV today for league action. Game Time is 5:00pm. Go Panthers!!

 

On Saturday the varsity baseball team improved to 11 and 1, beating North Collins 10 to 0 in 5 innings. POG Maxwell Yehl continued to do Maxx things, striking out 13 of 15 batters, including an immaculate inning, and threw a no-hitter. Luke Petryszak had two hits including a double for Portville, and Tom Carls drew a walk in his first varsity at bat. Portville heads to Cattaraugus-Little Valley tonight.
