The Homecoming dance is this Saturday, October 8th from 8pm until 11pm. Cost is $12 per person and can be purchased in Mrs. Welty's room (#230) before and after school, as well as during periods 5th & 6th. Prices will increase to $15 per person if bought at the door. Presale tickets will be sold until Thursday the 6th.
There will be a Monster Cake Decorating Class this month taught by a guest professional chef. If interested, you MUST SIGN UP to participate. Spaces are Limited!
For any junior interested in taking the PSAT, sign-ups are being held in the guidance office between now and Oct 7th. In order to sign up, you will need $18 (exact amount in cash or check).

Students are reminded that they are not permitted to wear earbuds or head phones in the halls or in classes. You may only have them on in Lunch or before or after school. Also, no backpacks are allowed to be carried around unless you are leaving the building. Again, No backpacks are to be worn walking to lunch.

For Playoffs Frontier 30-22 Sweet Home 30-27 And for the championship match they swept Sacred Heart 25-17, 25-19

Jillian Stebbins led the offense with 97 Assists, 12 Aces, 9 Digs, Mia Rhinehart 28 Digs, 11 Aces and Sam Steadman 10 kills, 5 Blocks. The Panthers will host Our Lady of Mercy tonight at 6:00.
Congratulations to the girls JV soccer team on their victories this past Friday and Saturday against Genesee Valley and Fillmore respectively. In Genesee Valley Ava Jo Edwards and Zya DeGolier each had an assist; Alexa Schoonover, Alana Petersen, Allie Bray each had a goal while Ashley Carls had two goals for the 5-0 win. Against Fillmore on Saturday the score was 6-0. Mindy Maurer, Zya DeGolier, Sam Bray, Emma Rhinehart each had a goal while Ashley Carls had 2 goals. Allie Bray, Ciera Zenner, Ava Jo Edwards each had an assist while Emma Rhinehart had two assists. Both games Bella Morales and Ella Zeigler shared shutouts.

On Saturday the varsity girls soccer team woke up early and beat Franklinville 5 to nothing. Courtney Whippo scored two goals and had an assist, Gianna Aloi had two goals and an assist, Olivia Dean scored once, and Leah Faulkner and Natalie Reynolds added assists. Mackenzie Harmon stopped one shot in goal for the shutout. Minion winner Julia Wyant did an excellent job providing speed at the outside and looking for teammates for shots. Portville heads to Pine Valley/Gowanda today.
