Reminder to students that would like to stay after for Study Center – it will be held in Mr. Brennan’s Room 224. If you need to take the late bus, be sure to sign up in the office right after school.
Students in Grades 7-12… remember to Sign up to go to the Nightmare Hayride, Haunted Maze and Haunted Barn on October 23rd if you like a good scare! Sign ups are located outside of the Guidance Office.
Reminder to Juniors and Seniors… If you are interested in taking the ASVAB on October 24th, please sign up in the Guidance Office before October 14th. The test is free.
Sign-up sheets are hanging on the bulletin board outside Coach Welty’s room in the Math wing for ALL Winter Athletes….this includes Girls Basketball at all levels, Boys Basketball for the JV & Varsity level, and Wrestling for both Modified & Varsity. If you intend on participating in any of the programs, get your name on the lists. If you need to have a physical, please see our Nurse, Mrs. Kent, ASAP as those will take place on Wednesday, November 2nd.

Last night the girls' varsity soccer team completed another undefeated league season, defeating Randolph 4 to 0. Teagan Kosinski, Kendyl Rogers, Grace Gariepy, and Gianna Aloi each scored once, and Grace and Meghan Lyle had assists. Mackenzie Harmon and Bella Morales combined for the shutout, with Mackenzie recording five saves. Kendyl Rogers won the Minion award for scoring a high-leverage goal and playing with fierce determination all night. Portville starts playoffs next Friday. Great job!
The JV volleyball team defeated Falconer last night 3-0
Ali Haynes led the team with 8 kills, & 8 aces
Hanna Wysocki 5 kills and 8 aces, Laney Vincent 5 aces. Ana Haynes 7 digs and 4 aces. Marissa Carls tan the offense with 21 assists.
Portville Varsity volleyball team defeated Falconer
Last night 25-7, 25-13, 25-13
Tori Unverdorben led the team with a double double 12 kills, 14 digs
Ava Haynes also with a double double with 11 kills, 12 digs, 4 aces
Lillian Bentley 11 kills, 3 aces
Mia Rhinehart 9 digs, 2 aces
And Jillian Stebbins ran the offense with 35 assists, & 3 aces The panthers 13 & 0 will travel to Horseheads on Saturday for a tournament.
The boys modified soccer team finished their season with a record of 8-3-1. They got their 8th win on Wednesday defeating Pine Valley/ Gowanda 14-0. Garrett Reynolds led the way with a hat trick while Ethan Harmon, Gabe Evans, Thomas Mackey, Parker Keim, Aiden Richardson, Tristen Harvey, and Josh Green also scored for the Panthers. Great season boys!
