Drama Club members are expected to meet TODAY after school in Mrs. Maxson's room 120. It should last about an hour for those who will need to get on the late bus !
There will be a Student Council meeting on Thursday during Period X in the library. If you haven’t brought in your bag of candy, you need to bring it with you that day. Also, don’t forget about making your gift purchases as soon as you can and bringing them into Mrs. Welty’s room. They are due by Wednesday the 7th.
If any student is interested in learning how to make a Stained Glass Suncatcher or Ornament, please see Mrs. Welty. She will be taking groups of ten students to a Workshop in Olean on Monday, December 12th and on Tuesday, December 20th. She has permission slips in her room. The FIRST ten to bring the signed slip for each date will be the ones who get to attend. There is a flyer hanging outside her room with more details or feel free to ask Mrs. Welty if you have any other questions.
The holidays are coming! Are you having trouble with gift ideas? Make Christmas ornaments with Mr. McInnis and Mr. Suain in Portville's own Envisioneering Center—the two-day, after-school workshop will be offered on Tuesday. 12/13, and Thursday, 12/15, and is limited to 16 students! Sign up today outside of the Envisioneering Center!
Ice skating is a ton of fun whether you can skate or not! Grab a friend or two and sign up outside Miss Giardini's room to go ice skating after school this Thursday, December 8th, from 3:00-5:15PM. You'll need to return a signed permission slip to attend! Don't delay-sign up today!
Due to weight room schedule conflict, The hour of power has been moved to THURSDAY after school. See Ms Nolder for details. Again, if you are Interested in knowing your way around the weight room and Hoping to work on some strength and fitness goals… then come beat the winter blahs with us on December 8th from 2:45 to 3:45 in the fitness center. Open to any students grade 8-12. We need a minimum of 6 kids.
Calling all animal lovers: On Saturday, December 17th,, from noon-2pm, PCS is offering a SPCA shelter visit for any student, in grades 7-12. The bus will depart at 11:45 and return by 2:15. The signup sheet is located outside of Ms. Judy Maxson’s room #202. In order to reserve a spot, you will need to sign up and return the SPCA volunteer waiver form. This waiver is also located outside of Ms. Maxson’s room. There are only 20 spots available, so hurry up and get that waiver signed!
For those students who have been asking, Winter Weekend will be the first weekend of February. Crowning will take place at halftime of the Varsity Boys Basketball game against Randolph on Thursday, February 2nd and the Dance will be on Saturday the 4th from 8 – 11PM.
Congratulations to the indoor track athletes that competed over the weekend at Houghton College. Julia Wyant was a part of the winning 4 by 400 meter relay team while also placing sixth in the 55 meter dash. Aryanna Hatch was also part of the winning 4 by 400 meter relay team and placed fourth in the 600 meter run. Jenna Wyant placed first in the 300 meter dash and Samantha Bray was a part of the 4 by 800 meter relay team that placed second.
Congratulations to both the 7th and 8th grade girls modified basketball teams for winning their games last night vs Allegany-Limestone. 7th graders won 27-6. Scoring for the Lady Panthers were Marissa Carls and Sophia Milligan with 6 points, Ali Bray with 5, Airianna Whittaker with 4 points and Sophia Miller, Amelia Artlip and Kaylin Elliott each had 2 points. The 8th graders won 31-18. Scoring for the Panthers were Nazara DeGolier with 12 points, Lauren Lyle with 10 points, Ella Zeigler with 7 and Al Stuck with 2 points. Nice job girls.
