Attention TRAP CLUB MEMBERS….There will be a mandatory trap meeting held Saturday at 9:30am at the Portville Conservation Club. All participants and at least one parent must attend. Any questions contact Ms. Wenke.
Reminder students if you are interested in touring the brand new Esports arena at the JCC Cattaraugus campus next Tuesday, stop by the main office to sign-up. Permission slips are due no later than TOMORROW.
There is also a signup sheet in the high school office for anyone interested in becoming a member of the Cattaraugus County Youth Court. Students who are members of the court gain numerous hours of community service, expand their knowledge of laws and the justice system, help youth who have gotten into trouble, and boost their resumes for colleges and jobs. Please sign up in the office by February 3rd.
Tomorrow is an Early Dismissal for all students in both elementary and high school buildings. Dismissal will be at 11:27. The time schedule will consist of periods 1 through 4. Each period has been extended in length of time. Please refer to the Revised Schedule posted. Junior BOCES students will be picked up from BOCES 5 minutes early to come back to PCS. Senior BOCES – if you intend to DRIVE TO BOCES tomorrow – you MUST HAVE A DRIVING PASS that you get from BOCES. You must have that completed and signed in order to drive to BOCES otherwise if you have a parent or someone to drop you off at BOCES, you will be able to attend classes there.
The Circus is this Saturday January 28th at 6:30 in the High School Gym. If you are 13 years old or older you will need to purchase a ticket. Stop by the high school office and get your pre-sale ticket from Mrs. Baker for only $15!!! Children 12 and under are FREE with a paid adult!!
The Winter Weekend theme this year is “MASQUERADE BALL”. The dance will take place on Saturday, February 4th from 8 to 11PM. Presale tickets will be sold until Thursday the 2nd. Cost is $12 per person and can be purchased from Mrs. Welty. Prices will increase to $15 per person if bought at the door. This is a semi-formal dance so proper attire is required….NO JEANS and NO HATS.
On Thursday during the pep rally the Winter Weekend Court will be announced. Those students will be recognized at half-time of the Varsity Boys Basketball game versus Randolph the same night. There, the 2023 King & Queen will be revealed.
REMINDER: #1: If you are on the Academic Ineligibility list and have not been attending Study Center, you will not be permitted to attend the dance. #2: If you intend on bringing someone from a different school, you must get a permission slip from the office for them to sign and return it to Mrs. Welty before Friday the 3rd. #3: If you would like to bring a student that has already graduated high school, they must be a graduate of PCS.
TOMORROW IS THE LAST DAY TO bring in dog and cat items FOR THE SPCA. Please don’t forget our furry friends! For over a month, the Girls Basketball teams have played all their games away. Tonight they are FINALLY home and have huge games versus Falconer as they battle for 1st and 2nd place in the league. JV starts at 6PM with the Varsity to follow. Theme for the game will be “JERSEY NIGHT”! Come out and support the Lady Panthers! |
