The Movie: Avatar will be at the AMC tomorrow. Please come see Mr. Steighner to sign up and get a new permission slip if you have not done so yet. Again, Permission slips should be picked up today and turned in 1st period tomorrow!
Gamer’s Club will be gathering this Friday, February 3rd, from 2:45 to 5:45 in the High School library. For more information stop by the Technology Office, Room 210.
“Last Chance: Any student, grades 7-12, that wants to attend the Holiday Valley tubing trip, see Mrs Morella in room 201 by the end of today to get your name on the list. The trip is this Saturday, February 4th. The bus will leave at 11:45, and return to the school around 4:15pm. Lunch will be provided.”
There is a signup sheet in the high school office for anyone interested in becoming a member of the Cattaraugus County Youth Court. Students who are members of the court gain numerous hours of community service, expand their knowledge of laws and the justice system, help youth who have gotten into trouble, and boost their resumes for colleges and jobs. Please sign up in the office by February 3rd.
The Winter Weekend theme this year is “MASQUERADE BALL”. The dance will take place this Saturday from 8 to 11PM. Presale tickets will be sold until Thursday the 2nd. Cost is $12 per person and can be purchased from Mrs. Welty. Prices will increase to $15 per person if bought at the door. This is a semi-formal dance so proper attire is required….NO JEANS and NO HATS.
On Thursday during the pep rally the Winter Weekend Court will be announced. Those students will be recognized at half-time of the Varsity Boys Basketball game versus Randolph the same night. There, the 2023 King & Queen will be revealed.
REMINDER:
#1: If you are on the Academic Ineligibility list and have not been attending Study Center, you will not be permitted to attend the dance.
#2: If you intend on bringing someone from a different school, you must get a permission slip from the office for them to sign and return it to Mrs. Welty before Friday the 3rd.
#3: If you would like to bring a student that has already graduated high school, they must be a graduate of PCS.

The boys bowling team lost and the girls team won vs Gowanda last night. Emma Pinney bowled a 388 series.
Congratulations to the Girls Varsity Basketball team for picking up their 10th win of the season. Every Lady Panther scored while they hit eight three-pointers on the night, as Scanlon had 3, Kosinski & Artlip with 2 apiece, and Haynes with 1. Meghan Lyle had a career-high 9 rebounds, while also scoring 8 points. Alisha Dickerson had 7 boards with 8 points. Jackie Scanlon led all scorers with 11, while Teagan Kosinski led the team with 5 assists. Teamwork and unselfish play were clearly visible throughout the game. The girls are home again tonight with a tough league game against Cassadaga Valley. Please come out and support them at 6 & 7:30PM. The theme is “MAROON-OUT”.
“The boys 7th grade modified team lost to Allegany limestone 40 to 20 last night. Trystan Harvey let the way on offense with 9points and a big game on the boards. Nathan Perkins chipped in 7 points. The 8th grade boys lost a close one 32 to 28. Garret Reynolds had 8 points. The 7th grade plays against Ellicottville this Thursday in Ellicottville. Keep up the hard work boys.
