REMINDER --
Distribution of free COVID-19 test kits will be held today, Wednesday, January 5th, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Parents will be able to pick up one kit per child (two tests) on a bus parked by the baseball field at the school. Personnel from the district will be on hand to pass out test kits. Only one kit per child is available. If you cannot pick up a test today at those times, please email covidtest@portvillecsd.org and we will make arrangements for you to pick up a test at an alternate time.
Please remember that this testing is not required, but being made available to students. We believe providing this testing is another mitigation practice that will help maintain an educational environment that is healthy and safe.
IMPORTANT MESSAGE!
FREE RAPID COVID TESTS AVAILABLE FOR STUDENTS
School districts across New York State received an allotment of Covid-19 rapid tests that the State has purchased for distribution to our schools. These tests have been provided to help districts achieve the mutual goal of keeping children in school following our recent holiday break. This is an approach that may help prevent COVID-positive asymptomatic individuals from returning to school and further spreading the virus.
In an effort to get tests to our students as quickly as possible, distribution of COVID-19 tests will start Wednesday, January 5th, from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Parents will be able to pick up one kit per child (two tests) on a bus parked by the baseball field at the school. Personnel from the district will be on hand to pass out test kits. Only one kit per child is available.
If you cannot pick up a test on that day at those times, please email covidtest@portvillecsd.org and we will make arrangements for you to pick up a test at an alternate time.
Please remember that this testing is not required, but being made available to students. We believe providing this testing is another mitigation practice that will help maintain an educational environment that is healthy and safe.
