NOW FOR YOUR PCS SPORTS NEWS:
The Portville Varsity Softball team dropped their season opener to the Golden Falcons of Falconer last night on the road. Ella Warters and Bella Morales combined for 6 strikeouts, 3 walks, and 8 hits in the circle. Portville jumped out to a 1-0 lead after one which Falconer got back in the bottom of the second knotting the score at 1’s. Some errors coupled with timely hits by Falconer and a rough night at the plate for PCS would dictate the remainder of the contest. Offensive players of note for Portville were Alexa Schoonover and Lauren Lyle who each scored a run to help the panther’s cause. Portville looks to get back on track when they host Cuba-Rushford in the opening round of the 4th Annual Don Jordan Memorial Tournament this Friday. Game time is 4:30pm. Go Panthers!
